A mixed bag of known Black Keys tracks, semi-rarities, covers of The Black Keys, Blakroc and my favourite Dan Auerbach track that just might work for you and your weekend listening pleasure.
The covers were prompted by an excellent 2008 Paste Magazine competition on Imeem for artists to cover Attack and Release tracks.
Let’s hope Paste or The Black Keys do something similar for the new album in 2010.
The Sneaky Marco version of ‘Lies’ is so much better than Kelly Clarkson’s version.
Enjoy.
What would would be on your weekend Black Keys playlist?
Update:
Unfortunately Imeem has closed making this post pretty silly.
Nevertheless, one of the songs on the playlist was this track by The Robotanists – a cover of All You Ever Wanted that won a Paste Magazine/Imeem competition to cover an Attack & Release track.
