Where do the Black Keys got influenced by the grooviness of the guitar in Elevator, I Got Mine, Thickfreakness, Backdoor, and Give Your Heart Away? I really want to know because I can’t get enough off of the Black Keys.

If you check out YouTube, you can find Dan’s guitar tech running through his gear. Towards the end of the video, he shows a handful of black picks. He goes on to tell us that he uses the yellow tortex picks shown above, but he now has his own. Same gauge, but now they are black with Patrick’s drum artwork in red. I want to get my hands on them sooooo badly.

I saw them at the 100 club, oxford street, London, UK after finishing university in 2003. Was that there 1st UK gig?

Dúo de blues-rock formado por Dan Auerbach y Patrick Carney en la ciudad estadounidense de Akron, Ohio. Ellos sacaron su nombre cuando escucharon a un artista amigo de la banda y con episodios de esquizofrenia, que usaba el término “black keys” cuando se refería a personas que no estaban en su sano juicio. El tema que pongo a girar pertenece al álbum Brothers (2010) -en el sello Nonesuch, cosa extraña- y es una muestra de cómo cuando una banda tiene en cuenta la historia de la música, puede recrear el rock, transformarlo y hacer algo realmente genial.

I think this is incorrrect. I absolutely love every little peice about The Black Keys. I love the riffs, the in your face beat, every little aspect. Also, I absolutely love Dan. I listen to his solo music not because of the soft tone but because I love his voice and guitar playing. I love his beard and his style as well as Pat’s. Your argument is invalid.

I was at this show. after they played, they signed the BigComeUp record for me and I asked how long they’d been playing together. Dan replied since High school which was a few years ago.
