That receiver looks awesome. I bet Chulahoma sounds fanfuckingtastic on vinyl; Santa brought me the "only Black Keys vinyl he couldn't find" when he snuck into my house and snooped my collection but it was Rubber Factory. Still need that beast.

The liner notes on RF made me laugh though:

That is so sexy.

I really need to get my record player fixed. And then get Chulahoma vinyl.

Which album is it (I think Thickfreakness or TBCU) where Pat's liner notes say something about "to the dudes who stole Dan's car stereo, watch your back!" Haha. Love that.

PS- nice haul man! All 3 of those albums pictured sound incredible on vinyl.

I have a Marantz 2245 that looks a little different. I LOVE it. It is probably sacrilegious but I have my iPod hooked up to it right now till I get the funds for a proper turntable. Even the iPod sounds incredibly warm through it. Congrats!

Thanks again guys. It certainly was a total score, and I literally haven't stopped listening to Chulahoma.

jmjohnson - 2245...nice, yea Marantz's warmth and depth it's receivers pushes out is so badass. Although your right, it is kind of ass backwards to be listening to a Ipod through it...but obviously you need to get your music fix...so it's understandable.
