Obviously the opinion here would skew it a bit higher ( ) but I think on balance, the Black Keys making a list like that is pretty great.

"Since huge quantities of information can be computer-digitalized and transmitted, music researchers could, for example, swap records over the Net with "essentially perfect fidelity."

So theres an article about The Black Keys new album in a December issue of Rolling Stone. I want to read but can't find in anywhere online. Has anyone else read it?

Just picked-up the Dec. 24 – Jan. 7 issue (“best of the decade”) and didn’t see anything on the Keys. The magazine itself doesn’t have the full list of the best 100, so I guess their only mention is online.
(And Christ, does anyone else think U2 is the most overrated piece of shit out there? They got almost every honorable mention in the magazine…)

The article on the Keys comes from the RS with the guy from Twilight on the cover, an issue before the best of issue.

Yeah, I really don't understand RS's U2 love, I'm pretty sure they've had two cover stories this year. I can't stand U2 either, can't understand why they are one of the most popular (at least in terms of touring) bands in the world.

I am right there with you guys on this U2 shit. A mere second or two of their "music" puts vomit in my throat, and seeing them on every magazine cover is akin to finding Jonas Brothers shit every time you google "Black Keys." I would love to see Dan and Patrick on the Rolling Stone cover, but at the same time I think they are "too good" for it, if you know what I mean. Nevertheless, I have an article entitled "Black Keys Big Apple Blues Explosion" from this past March taped to the wall beside me. I just hope that someday, far down the road, when Rolling Stone is desperate for revitalization, they will honor such great bands as My Morning Jacket, The Black Keys, Dr Dog, and Buffalo Killers with cover stories.
