Click here and listen to "Black Bug".

It may not be everyone's cuppa, but I love Outkast and Big Boi, and I dig it. Funny, I was just thinking the other day how I'd like to hear TBK work with Big Boi.

Apparently, even Big Boi likes it. He tweeted it last night. Sweet.

I can't stand that mash-up.
But I did like that Freddie Gibbs tune when it came out and I still like it now.. probably because Dan's vocals sound crazy good.

For the two of us who liked it, there are more TBK/Big Boi mashups here.

I'm only on the first song (which isn't up to the brilliance of the "Black Bug" mashup), so I can't speak for the overall quality yet.

after listening to the tracks last night, it reminds me of the worst of Linkin Park/Limp Bizkit - there's no subtlety, everything that Blakroc wasn't.
One track was Ok but then it becomes apparent they are not so much a mash up as they are only a doubling of tracks

"Black Bug" was inspired, and the Everlasting Light and Go Getter tracks had potential, but it's clear that everything after "Black Bug" was forced.

Spin Magazine -
There's no lack of genre-crossing album mashups, and while most are for-kicks novelty, some are much more meaningful, like the Beatles-Jay-Z mix The Grey Album, which launched the career of Danger Mouse. Here's another one definitely worth a listen: SPIN Artists of the Year the Black Keys mashed with OutKast rapper Big Boi. Aptly-titled The Brothers of Chico Dusty, the mixtape combines two of SPIN's 40 Best Albums of 2010: Big Boi's solo LP Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty and the Keys' Brothers. Whoever's responsible for this gem -- apparently, it's anonymous artist who goes by "Wick-it" -- shouldn't slip back onto the web unrecognized.

OkayPlayer -
There's typically a high failure rate when DJs haphazardly try to take two dope artists and mash up their music. So I was hesitant when I saw this Big Boi meets The Black Keys project, The Brothers of Chico Dusty, over at TSS. However, after one listen it's clear that there was nothing careless about how Wick-It The Instigator blended two of the better albums of the year Big Boi's Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty and The Black Keys' Brothers.

The Nashville Scene -
Now that The Black Keys live here — and since ATL is just a hop and a skip from Music City — we’re going to go ahead and claim this one. It’s a perfect (semi-) local storm. We told you before about how Big Boi thinks local turntablist Wick-It the Instigator is dope. Well, now there’s even more reason for a bromance to blossom between the two ballers (It's started). Wick-It has mashed up The Black Keys’ Brothers and Big Boi’s Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty — both of which are already getting a lot of love on year-end best-of lists (just ask Grimey’s).

You can download more from Wick-it the Instigator including his newest release - ‘The Brothers of Chico Dusty’ - in lossless format on our official Mashville Bandcamp™ page

It's funny because when i first heard too afraid to love you I thought to myself that the beat would be perfect for a hip hop song. I like how "Afraid of the General" starts out but I don't like the weird effects at the end. Just leave it be!

I leave for a minute and shit hits the fan. The black Keys are huge now and the are getting down and them jungle boogie beats. I kind of like it though ... I actually like it better than Brothers

I've listened to half of it so far, and gotta say I'm digging it. Anyone know if Dan or Pat has commented on the tracks yet?

Big fan of TBK and Outkast. I actually like it better than the original beats from Chico Dusty.
