the Black Keys website has a deluxe edition of brothers for $39.99 on their website. but there seems to be a problem with it at the moment. I tried to add it to my cart and it keeps giving me an error message.

Must have just been added to their store. I was on there a couple hours ago and there were no Brothers items for sale. Maybe they are still in the process of adding it? Maybe that's causing the errors?

Speaking of TBK merch site, they need more vinyl on there ASAP. Currently you can only buy Rubber Factory on vinyl. And maybe Blakroc.

$39.99 gets you...

A collectible 56 page hardbound book with never before seen live photos, intimate backstage and studio shots of TBK

The full album on CD housed in the back panel of the book mentioned above.

Digital download of the full album on May 18th

A 9.75" x 6.5" lithograph (limited number of them will be signed by the band)

2 mp3's to instantly download (tighten up & next girl)

I would have liked the vinyl included.

I want the hardcover book. Hopefully they sell it separately as well.

This would have been good info to know about BEFORE I shelled out my hard earned bucks to Nonesuch a week or so ago for my vinyl preorder... ...but ultimately I wouldn't have bought this anyways - because there's no vinyl inside. wtf? Where's the vinyl deluxe?

Hopefully I can buy the picture book separate, but if not, I'll survive.

Scratch that- hopefully the picture book (or at least some of it) comes included inside the vinyl. I mean, there better be some photos/art inside the vinyl packaging, right? Obviously 56 pages is not going to fit, but maybe some of it?

Oh but guess what, it seems that the "deluxe" $40 package does not include the bonus track "Ohio" that you can get from buying the album through itunes.

Correct me if I'm wrong please, but wouldn't you think that the $40 deluxe cd should include the bonus track?

So this is NOT what you would get buying the presale tix etc ?

Mike, probably not.

I know it's shitty to bitch/complain about the band putting out this deluxe package for us but here's the thing-

They should announce all of this at the same time. You can't start accepting preorders for a week or two, and THEN say "oh by the way, now you can also buy this $40 deluxe package deal..."

Because some folks who preordered the album maybe would have wanted the deluxe edition but now it's too late. Unless they feel like spending $40 for a deluxe edition of the album they've already purchased. Which is really fucking lame.

And like Mike said, maybe some people wouldn't have preordered the concert tix & album package, because they would have rather bought tix separate and then bought this deluxe package.

It's not very cool of them not to give out all the info/facts/options before they started accepting people's money. Bad business. Bad form. For shame. Warner Bros strikes again... $$$ $$$

For real. I bought the vinyl presale package b/c I thought it was going to be the primo edition, but I would have rather bought regular tickets to the show and then this thing separately. WTF.

Well dude, hopefully they realize their error and allow you to pay the difference and switch your shit up.

Either that or-

It wasn't an error, and they did this on purpose to maximize profits. In other words, why sell us each the album once when they can maybe sell it to us twice?

I guess we'll wait & see which it was...

I wish TBK the best of luck with album sales and all that, but I gotta say...

The record sales numbers have officially been tainted at this point and should now have an *asterisk* next to them at all times. That's not fair to count as album sales when you force people to buy an album twice.

Wouldn't put it past Warner Bros. I don't really care much for autographs, but the huge fan in me still wants the autographed lithograph. I want the book as well. I agree, WTF, most of us pre-ordered the second we found out we could only to find out that it will not be the prime edition. That is messed up. This whole booklet thing doesn't sound very much like TBK, IMO. I know we've had two DVD's, but a 56 page booklet? Who are these guys now, Radiohead? Led Zeppelin?

Stingy, I'm sure we'll see the deluxe vinyl in about two weeks or so. Right when some of us have decided to purchase a second copy of the album.
