I don't know if anyone noticed but the lineup has changed a bit for the last few gigs. I'm guessing Nick Movshon and Leon Michaels ran into some sort of scheduling problems for some of the last few gigs. There are some videos from the last few gigs and there is only a bass player joining them and if you have read Dante's (from Hacienda) blog you will notice he has Dan's guitar tech is playing bass with them for a few gigs. Looks like he is playing the same sort of Rick Dan used to record the album. Just thought everybody would like to know.

Yeah I saw that... on the plus side, because of no keyboards, Dan plays the full riff of Next Girl instead of just the "duhn duhn duhn" part. I thought the timing of it would be damn near impossible but it sounds pretty good IMO:

I think they should steal a couple members of Hacienda for the rest of the tour but that's just me... "When the power of Love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix Posted 1 year ago #

dual drumming goodness! I would be a happy guy if some or all of Hacienda helped out for the rest of the tour. I'm just happy to get a chance to see TBK, so I shouldn't think greedy thoughts! Posted 1 year ago #

Well here's the thing, if Hacienda spends their time backing Dan/Pat then how are they going to make a name for themselves? They probably want their own space and time to write and tour and whatnot. But yeah, the greedy side of me wants to see it happen! Posted 1 year ago #

Interesting I think it puts a bit more rawness into the song. Maybe one spin is that TBK thought that bass and keys watered their sound down to much:) I dig the keyboard, but live it just did not have the same sound/tone/vibe as the recording and did not add to the rawness. I'm seeing them in Oakland CA in September and would prefer to see this combination. (bass only) Posted 1 year ago #

It had nothing to do with them thinking it "watered" down their sound. It had been a planned thing. This bassist was gonna play for like two or three gigs then the other guys would be back..at least thats what Ive heard Posted 1 year ago #

I wasn't aware that you found "dude-bros" to be pretty. All joking aside, I can't seem to watch the vid. You just got yourself an apple strawberry sea breeze wine cooler. Posted 1 year ago #

I've been having the weirdest problem recently. When I click play on the embedded vids, it automatically presses the backspace button and goes to the previous page. What the heck? Off topic but "You just got yourself an apple strawberry sea breeze wine cooler." Every time I read this I become extremely thirsty. Ron Paul 2012 Posted 1 year ago #

Umm... My bad...I just realized that I posted some of those videos... It's because I hit the URL button and entered the Youtube link... when really I just had to paste the link as is... I think. It won't let me edit my post here to fix it though so I guess just click the top-left title on the video player and it should open in a new window... Posted 1 year ago #
