Sounds good! I'm curious to see what Dan does with this live, we could be in for a treat.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Its at the point where he is a bigger TBK fan than me and he has asked to join TBKFL so he will be signing up soon. On another note Mirby are you still rock'n the gibbo sg?

Yes sirree. '04 Gibson faded SG special. Faded cherry. I took out the stock 'buckers though and put a GFS Dream 90 in the neck position, and a GFS Mean 90 in the bridge position. So now it has P90's.
I also just took it in to the shop and had them do a setup and add a Tonepros bridge. They did such a killer job with the setup... they adjusted the pickup heights and pole pieces for me, you know, all the usual stuff but they really took the time to do it right. The intonation is spot on and the string radius is all nice and works well when I play slide. They cleaned the fingerboard real nice, little truss rod adjustment for proper relief, etc. Like I said, just the normal setup stuff but it plays and sounds like a dream. I bought it used off of some college kid who bought it new in '04 and used it for a shitty punk band or something. It had dried sweat all over it and shit. They cleaned it up nicely over at my local shop (Dr Fretgood in Chicago).
That Tonepros bridge really made a difference with sustain and clarity and tone. The vibrations from the strings just transfer really well now through the body and make for some really fun playing.
I love the faded finish on that guitar. It doesn't stifle it like some thick/glossy finishes tend to do. On the downside, it is more susceptible to dings and nicks but they give it character.

I don't think most guy's and gal's that play guitar realize just how good a guitar can get with a good pro setup and dings and nicks make it your guitar man!

Punk music with an SG.. ARGH!! made me cringe!.. have you ever posted a pic of it here, Mirby? Would like see it!
@Sonicblue.. so true! Everytime I give my Strat or JAG to my friend, that happens to be a luthier, to setup or make a mod., its like having a new toy!

I may have posted a couple of pics here but not with the new pickups and bridge and whatnot. I'll try to take a pic over the weekend with my amp too maybe.
