Dan's answer to heaps of questions "No, not really". Ouch.

"Next Girl is such a great, rueful rock song, combining love and hate into a single emotion. Did that song come from a place of love or hate?

Honestly, I got inspired by the old hip-hop song Ex-Girl to Next Girl by Gang Starr. And I told DJ Premier that when we did the Blakroc stuff. I told him I had a song that was inspired by something he’d done. It was pretty cool.

Trust me, I’m in Florida, I know. But the Black Keys seem like a band that would never want to leave the south, with all the blues and hip hop and swamp rock. Do you get more love in the South, or in major cities?

You know what? The farther away from home you get, the more love you get. So we do best in Australia. (laughs) Nah, we’re pretty fortunate. We do well across the board, in a lot of different places."

Yeah, Australia. So there hehe

If I could interview them I'd ask questions like:

"Some people say you remind them of jack black from the white stripes. I don't think you look like him, but Pat and that other guy's sister are pretty good on the drums."

"I hear you're from Ohio. Did you know that it was the 14th state? Did you live near the swamps there? Is that where you got your inspiration?"

Why not get everything wrong, or maybe-just maybe, try researching a group before you interview them.

i know, don't just stumble onto the first fact on google and expect it to be true. go speak with people working with them, go speak to nappy, im sure he'll have some fun quotes to throw in there. do all that, look at other reviews... disregard other reviews, form your own opinion through listening intently and following the career of the band... dont just quickly zip through, look at what other people have said n take it for fact. come on a website like this and it'll open up your world to all kinds of madness, but every now n then there's a total n utter gem that would set your interview apart! go almost famous style on their ass lol!

not that i could interview any band well. i would just be sat there mouth open sayin... er so can i get up on stage with yas perwease pwease pwease pwease... i'll take all the blue ones out of your m n m's!!!!
