The first song was a little too bluegrass for me, but that rendition of Goin' Home was awesome. If I'm not mistaken, aren't a bunch of Dan's family members in bluegrass bands? I wonder how his career would have turned out if he'd went that way instead. Posted 5 months ago #

This is great! I would love to hear Dan do more stuff like this honestly. As long as he doesn't abandon rock and The Black Keys completely of course. Posted 4 months ago #

Now that was TASTY! Thank you for posting this. Watching/hearing these just reminds me; Dan could sing the fucking phone book and I'd be pleased 90% of the time. I'm with Strange Times re: bluegrass. I am not in to twang at all. Turns me off off off! However, I could listen to this all day. Go figure! As StackShotTBK said: "So long as he [Dan] doesn't abandon rock and The Black Keys completely." This version of Going Home; was simply gorgeous. Great performance. Thank you again for posting these. This only fuels my desire to hear Dan play a Hank Williams song even more. Fucking beautiful. But you know, when the ammegedon comes, and thy pile up the bodies...I will be in the cool pile and many of you will be in the "suck" pile. That's it. Posted 4 months ago #

@thatswhatshesaidshesaid You just opened my mind to an amazing idea. I think Dan would do a great cover of there's a tear in my beer or alone and forsaken, or any Hank williams song for that matter. To bad he didn't do anything for that new Hank Williams album that came out with all the different artists playing songs that he never finished. Posted 4 months ago #
