I know Dan uses delay in I got mine on Letterman. Is he, at the same time, also using reverb? What do you guys think?

I guess the bigger question I have is, why do you think he plays thru the JTM45 and the Quad Reverb? To get a mixture of Fender/Marshall tones?

Yeah, he must like a mixture of those tones. Guess he's using the reverb on the fender quad.

The Marshall JTM 45 does not have reverb. He probably prefers the overdriven tone of a Marshall and uses the fender to get some reverb

In guitar world he said "the Fender has my reverb and the Marshall has my slapback"

Small tie-in to the other thread about his playing style: I was playing this song down at the neck the whole time and not at the 5 and 7 frets like he does during the verse.

Amazing how he's come from 4 pedals (1 being a tuner) and one amp to this and still sounds like himself (of course).

Back on topic, what non-amp reverb do you guys like (if any)? Holy Grail? I used to have a Vibro-King that I never should have sold. Great reverb...

I really like the Line6 verbzilla. Very versatile but make sure you have a power supply cause it is a battery eater.

I use a Boss RV-3, mostly so I can get the delay and reverb in one pedal. It sounds great to me, but it's also the only reverb pedal I've ever used. Doesn't do spring reverb.

I use a Lee Jackson Mr Springy and it sounds very good. Very much like a real springreverb. I tried a EH Holy Grail as well but found that sound much to digital.

I've never tried reverb that wasn't onboard with an amp.

I would really dig a tank, maybe someday. I enjoy slap back/echo a ton, which is enough for me.
