As a guitar player, even I second this.

Very cool.

Very cool, I'd love to pass some along to the guy I play with.

I don't mean to dissuade this topic because I love all things drum-related and think it's awesome that non-drummers are into this, but:
I am a drummer and I have never found drum tabs useful. In my experience the best way to learn a drum part is to listen and watch a live video of the drummer that created it. It's also more fun that way. That being said, TBK songs are great to listen to if you want to pick up drumming because Patrick keeps it straightforward with his beats, but he has great feel.

@fenster They look like this:

C |x---------------|----------------|x---------------|x---------------|
R |--x-x-x-x-x-x-x-|x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-|--x-x-x-x-x-x-x-|-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx|
S |----o-------o---|----o-------o---|----o-------o---|----------------|
B |o------oo-o---o-|o------oo-o---o-|o------oo-o---o-|o---------------|

And nort, I agree with you.

You know the Pat-cam angle in the 2005 DVD? I think our young drummers out there in Youtube-land could learn a thing or two-about the elaborate facial expressions made by Patrick which bring his drum parts to their full, rocking potential.

Who the hell uses drum tabs? I've never used em... Pat's style is so unique, groovy and its mostly about how hard and soft he plays, good luck plotting those onto tab. Drummers need to use toms more in the backbeat like he does. Good stuff.

I agree.
For example, we do some Black keys covers very faithfully to the the live versions, we don't use tabs, not even for guitar, for me are useless..

Hello all I am trying to figure out how the fuck to play the go getter! Granted, I haven't sat down and listened to the song at my drumset yet...
Buttt if anyone has any vids out there of them covering it, or a live version where the drums are visible I wouuld be very grateful if you posted it!!
Thanks!
