If I have any complaint about this forum format, it is that it is really easy to repeat topics. I guess all of them have that issue somewhat. Posted 1 year ago #

Jamie's a solid dude and makes great stuff. If you're in the market for a pedal, his site should be one of the first places you start looking. His builds are clean as fuck and super sexy looking. Reliable. Dependable. And his customer service is right up there with the best of 'em. If you like big muff style fuzz, you should own a Hoof Fuzz. No question about it. Plus he's a down-to-earth midwestern guy. I appreciate that. I'd much rather do business with him than some fancypants soy latte drinking Californian like Mike @ Fulltone... just read this passage from his site... 9/8/2010: I'm getting a lot of questions/confusion about transistors.. If I wanted to use Toshiba transistors, I would use them, because they're a dime a dozen, and still available in large quantitites, in fact I have 7,000 or so right now. My "favorite TO-5 transistors" that I'm referring to (and using in this run) are ones that you haven't tried unless you've owned old 1993 (and on) aluminum boxed '69 pedals (sunburst, Yellow, and plain silver) I went to using TO-1 Toshibas & NKT-275 stamped transistors LATER after I ran out of my favorites,. They're all good, so stop your bickering & tryping and play some guitar...you sound like a bunch of hens. Dripping with arrogance. Doesn't sound like a guy who appreciates our business. Just to be perfectly clear, that passage in italics in the post above... is from the Fulltone site, which is owned and operated by Mike Fuller. I was pointing out how off-putting that little blurb was (also many reports on the web of sub par customer service). Go here instead- *I am not affiliated with EQD at all and receive nothing from them for any of my comments/reviews of their service and products. Posted 1 year ago #

Speaking of used hoofs... I once bought a used Hoof at a great price because the owner had somehow lost the entire backplate. I emailed Jamie @ EQD asking him if I could please buy a back plate from him. He sent it to me for free, I only had to pay a couple bucks for shipping. Posted 1 year ago #

I had a great experience with Jamie at EQD as well. I had ordered a short run Amp Hammer II, a boost. He made some changes to the pedal and I said I would take it anyway. I didn't really care for it. I asked if I could possibly send him back the Amp Hammer and some money to get a Tonereaper (about $30 more). He said to send him back the pedal and he would send me the Tonereaper at no extra charge! I have three of his pedals now and have owned two others. Great guy and great pedals. Posted 1 year ago #
