I've listened to Dead and Gone and Gold on the ceiling so far. Gold on the ceiling has a nice riff. Its not TBCU Black Keys but its definitely not poppy. Little Black Submarine just started. Very much like Stairway to Heaven. Going to finish listening to this and post my thoughts from the rest of the album.

Gold on the Ceiling, Little Black Submarine, Stop Stop are favs so far. Danger Mouse is third band member, obviously, still don't know is it good or bad. It's definitely far from their early stuff, but far from Brothers as well. Poppy a little. I don't know what to say, really, I think i'm gonna need a 10 more listenings to make a solid opinion. I've just made it to Mind Eraser. I don't know what to make of this album. It's not really like the others. Hopefully it grows on me. I just feel that it is good but not great. Posted 1 year ago #

Great review. How about you spend some time with it and wait a few days and jot your thoughts down in a thoughtful organized manner? "When the power of Love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix Posted 1 year ago #

Good point I guess. Sorry. Just all jumpy because I'm at work and haven't had a chance to yank the album off the web yet. Posted 1 year ago #

Wow some tracks are really "epic" in like the 70's classic rock sense. Specifically Little Black Submarines and Stop Stop. This blood red ass don't smell so good... Posted 1 year ago #

I can imagine Money Maker existing on TBCU or Thickfreakness but sounding a little rustier. Posted 1 year ago #

Spoiler alert - we have xylophone "Since huge quantities of information can be computer-digitalized and transmitted, music researchers could, for example, swap records over the Net with "essentially perfect fidelity." - Rolling Stone, December 7, 1972 Posted 1 year ago #

Yep it's out, luckily the 30 second snippets will satisfy me until December 6th. It will be so much better listening to it in its entirety for the first time right after I rip off the plastic and pop the cd in the stereo Posted 1 year ago #

I decided to take a peek at Little Black Submarines which seemed to be getting a lot of buzz. I understand all the Stairway comparisons now. Even the solo has that signature Stairway lick. That aside, this is much better than the two singles and the tone is righteous. Posted 1 year ago #
