This is an amazing in person interview from the December 2011 issue of American Songwriter. The interviewee got to spend an entire day with TBK. He drove around with Dan in his BMW listening to music full blast while they went to go eat Tacos in the morning and then went to the studio and afterwards hung out at Patricks house. This article has a ton of great info both about TBK and El Camino. It can't be found online so I uploaded it as a PDF where I scanned my copy of the magazine. Enjoy

Article link. Zoom in too see the text more clearer and crisp, the buttons are at the bottom of the page.

ps. I'll be uploading the expected articles of TBK from Q magazine that will appear next week in their December issue.

To date: I've been a fan since early 2002 and I have attended 20 of their concerts and 2 of Dan's solo. I have also met Patrick quite a few times, but never Dan unfortunately. The Black Keys are a part of my soul.

I haven't been that jealous of someone in a long time goddamn hahaha.

E; That double neck he has looks weird as fuck, he should bust that out on stage some time. And grilled corn and avocado tacos sound delicious right now.

Great article, thanks for posting.

There's a direct link to the article in this one. Awesome interview! I like the ones where we get a peek into their actual lives. Not just "why is the minivan not an El Camino?"

There's the drums I thought I had seen... And I did see those... Old Ludwig looking very similar to the new custom Ludwig Pat has on stage now.

Those are awesome cool...
