The Black Keys Fan Lounge Forum

I don't think I've ever met someone who likes TBK who isn't likable as a person. It's like the common denominator, you can't like the Keys and not be a genuine person. Am I the only one who notices this?

I know there's already a million threads like this but it needs to be said. You guys all seem to have something worthwhile to say. Even when I disagree. Every time I post on other boards I seem to be reminded of how stupid and immature people are. That never really happens over here. Plus Brucini's blogs rock.

I think you're pretty right on there Dan. I will second the props to Brucini on the blog posts, and the running of the site as well. This is an awesome forum and makes my day more interesting regardless of what's being discussed.

I agree Dan, everyone i know who likes the keys is into decent music and can hold a decent conversation, no bullshit about whos cooler than who etc. However, will we see a change in this as their market expands?

This board is sound, i enjoy reading everything said. Banterous. I also love the tips for new bands which we would never even get a glimpse of in the UK.

Talking of immaturity on the tinterweb, take youtube comments for example, they would go into my room 101. Some have been brilliant dont get me wrong, i've had three women propose to me ha, but people just always look for an arguement and say things like this is shit and your gay. Wow, way to be constructive with the criticism there, thanks! lol at least here when there is a bit of back and fourth, theres usually a good bit of knowledge to back up each opinion or point.

still not the most constructive advice, but if it has one redeeming quality it's that it's creative. i appreciate it when people get creative with their insults.

i don't consider people won't don't like their early stuff true fans. i also feel the same for people who only became fans of the black keys because of the "brothers" album. i feel like they're liking the black keys for the wrong reason. but of course i have no idea why they like them.

i'm not sure why i feel like this. maybe its because when i first learnt about the black keys, no one knew who they were so they were kind of like my secret treasure. and now, they're gaining more attention and attracting a wider range of fans.

when they had a sound on the twlight soundtrack, i was praying that people wouldn't become BK fans just because they were on the soundtrack.
