This is on the web site of Jim Derogatis. He's the music writer for the Chicago Sun Times, who along with John Pareles, of the NY Times, has always had a bone up his ass about Dan and Pat. They're included in his list of who's playing Lollapalooza. I've included another performer, with his take on her, just to give you a better idea of where this guy stands.

11. The Black Keys: Fans worship this two-man Ohio blues-rock band, but there are easily half a dozen two-person combos on the current scene doing this sort of thing just as good or better. 2 stars

3. Lady Gaga: Love her or hate her, no one can deny that the dance-pop diva of the moment delivers an unparalleled spectacle, and she's sure to do something special given this high-profile platform and welcome departure from Lollapalooza-as-usual bookings. 4 stars

Actually, I'm quite glad that a man who loves Lady Gaga is disenchanted with TBK. I'd prefer not to be lumped in to that group of radio-retards anyways.

Maybe if TBK wore crazy hats/outfits and made a spectacle of themselves he would love them more? Who cares. Critics are too critical. =P

Even big famous rock bands like Led Zeppelin started to suck after 6 or 7 albums.

Rolling Stones, same thing. They strung together 5 or 6 insanely good albums between 67-73 but then they sucked.

Critics will always be critics I guess, but to me The Black Keys are on the verge of their 7th solid/kickass album in a row. Yeah yeah chulahoma was an EP but fuck that, it was an incredible album and it's equal to an LP because of the sheer kickassery within.

And that's not even counting Drummer's album and Dan's solo album. Those were both great as well.
