The lengths is my all time favorite. It's a song that holds a lot of meaning to me, and whenever I hear it, it makes me stop dead in my tracks and just listen. Posted 1 year ago #

I think it's impossible to choose. I want love to walk right up and bite me, grab a hold of me and fight me, leave me dying on the ground. And I want love to split my mouth wide open and cover up my ears, and never let me hear a sound. ~ Jack White, Love Interruption Posted 1 year ago #

Favorite album original: Hurt Like Mine- This song encompasses everything that made me become absolutely obsessed with how Dan Auerbach plays the guitar. The rhythm, the lead-fills, the incredible tone. Its got it all! Favorite cover on an album: 1-Everywhere I Go. So dark and moody, gives me chillbumps every time i listen to it. Kinda like a guilty pleasure., 1a-Meet Me in the City. I could be in the most shitty mood ever, and this song will break that mood. I start my day off listening to this song on a regular basis. Favorite B-side: Evil- Short, but damn it's sweet. Love the boogie on this one. Great slide-work as well on this one. Love the RAWNESS of it (that one's for you 'Magic,-you fucking lurker! Favorite live original: 10 A.M. Automatic- This song kills-it live. Dans' improvisation skills really shine on this one. Favorite live cover: I'm Glad- I think Beefheart would be proud. Such a powerful song. I wish it were a staple at every show. Attn Crackheads: Spring is here. Time to pawn your heater! Posted 1 year ago #

Just Got to Be, first song I heard by TBK when a friend gave me Magic Potion to listen to, hooked from then on (I still think Magic Potion is great and the most underappreciated album by TBK). This song also encouraged me to pick up a guitar and learn to play. Going on five years since I became obsessed with TBK and guitars. A close second for me is No Trust and then pretty much everything on Thickfreakness and Rubber Factory. -daxenut Posted 1 year ago #

I agree wholeheartedly here, just can't choose... but if i go by metachronos, i first heard the - Chulohoma - album, just bought it and listened and that was me hooked. I do remember not being all that into some of the songs on TBCU at first, i dunno why. But after coming home from a particularly good night out once, i put it on to chill(cause id had a special cigarette!) and was absolutely blown away by - Brooklyn Bound too much education is a fart in the the dark - Charles Bukowski Posted 1 year ago #

I agree with daxenut...Magic Potion is an amazing album. It's the one I find myself going to when I want to hear The Black Keys. I've given this a lot of thought and it's not easy to choose one favorite. If I had to choose one based on the album version it would have to be Black Door. If the album version of I Got Mine had the same solo that it has when played live, it would much easier to choose. Right now baby, oh yeah, I got mine Posted 1 year ago #
