Read this!.. Just imagine how awesome this would be for "The Boys" to give this a try. Maybe hear a live version of Evil, Summertime Blues, The Wicked Messenger, etc. etc..

I want love to walk right up and bite me, grab a hold of me and fight me, leave me dying on the ground.And I want love to split my mouth wide open and cover up my ears, and never let me hear a sound. ~ Jack White, Love Interruption

Yes, that would be awesome. I wouldn't hold my breath for it though. No way would they substitute "Lonely Boy" with "Just a little heat", no matter how many fans voted otherwise. They have, sad to say, damn near painted themselves into a corner with all the marketing of songs they have done. Those are the ones that will get played live, for years to come. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, i just think that's the way it's gonna be from now on.

Well, then let's hope the next album actually sounds like The Black Keys, no matter what type of music they are playing.

Just a little wishful thinking on my part. I have no doubt in my mind that it will not happen. And that's truely a shame.

as much as i love the keys, i despise their cookie-cutter 'make sure we play only mainstream bullshit songs' setlists.

ill be honest, every day i lose just a little more respect for the band.

idk, maybe i just dont think the way they do and prefer to consider music something more than a sheet of garbage lyrics and non-challenging music that gets traded in for stacks of cash.

Now baby when I roll, I roll deep;
so much soul, I couldn't get much sleep.

What a way to piss in my Post Toasties guys! Sheesh!

Kidding. Kidding.

I'd love to hear some of those songs live. I'd love to see things stirred up a bit. Similar to the way some of us were discussing that Jack White ensures that each show is a bit different. Not even dreaming that TBK would go to the lengths Jack does but you know... somewhere in the middle would be kinda nice.

Not saying that I don't still crawl over hot coals to get to any show that I can because I do and I do love this band and I do love their music (<---- always the reminders and disclaimers are needed---->)and I am just as pleased as punch over the recognition and success they get to enjoy.

But who among us wouldn't just fall over in dangasmic bliss if they just spontaneously decided to do a 10th anniversary Chulahoma tour? *waggles eyebrows and grins* I got a THO at the mere mention of seeing Just A Little Heat in an upcoming show. That's what fantasies are for, right? Keeping the THO's coming.

Hey!

Since most of the new/growing fan base are mostly only interested in Dan 2.0... Can I have Dan 1.0? I'll pay full price! Double even.

Not that there is an thing wrong with Dan 2.0. I'd be tickled pink!
