I'm always down to hear new music specially if it's rock/blues like The Black Keys, so if you have a band inspired by The Black Keys let's hear it!!

will be interesting to hear how other bands have been influenced by the black keys in sound, attitude, recording technique, and other obvious ways

Well ...

looking around myspace.com I ran into The Black Squeeze who are TBK's tribute band. I think they are pretty good.

I am in two bands. We love basement engineering and do-it-yourself recording, also vintage gear. Here are the myspaces.

myspace.com/ericarussomusic Folk-rock.
myspace.com/boysregularmusic Blues-rock.

That was a pretty slick cover of "Have Mercy On Me"

I'm in a band called "Phaxanation & The Dust Kickers." We're pretty influenced by the Black Keys. While it's not necessarily "blues" music people have told me they definitely hear elements of the Black Keys in our music.

@phaxanation 'Strangelove' sounds like a super-tripped out 'Strange Times' - the vocals at least

I once played in a band that was not necessarily influenced by the Keys but by tons of blues or blues influenced music. We called it day earlier this year. http://www.myspace.com/13rockandroll

Currently I'm playing in a country/blues/latin-kinda-thing band that's called Los Santos. You can check it out here: http://www.myspace.com/lossantosdelsur
We just recently finished recording, the album is due in February.

Wham bam, thank you m'am.

Thanks, Japas. Phaxanation, your shit rules. Savage, Thirteen sounded wicked. May it rest in peace. Los Santos makes me thirst for margaritas and sunshine.

Man !
Los Santos took me back home. I'm 100% Mexican, raised and born and it feels good.

I'm in a band called The Factory Workers, I play guitar/vocals and my friend-o plays drums. We are definitely influenced by The Black Keys, if you see some of our pictures you can tell we are the DIY kind of band too.

Factory Workers are the real deal. Check out their myspace, good stuff.

My buddy and I have started recording in the last two weeks. Just keys covers for now, looking to write our own stuff before the end of the year. So yeah, the keys are a pretty heavy influence.

Don't have a band, yet. I have been talking with a buddy about starting a band, so hopefully that goes through since he is a drummer.

Otherwise I will have to get an old drum machine to keep the beat..or beat-box.

Hey guys,

thanks for the nice comments! I like the Factory Workers, too! I knew it form the start - somebody who's got Clint as avatar actually can't make bad music.
