So my friend had this burned disk that had the best song I have ever heard. It was supposedly by the black keys. I need to know the name!

It has samples of some kind of maybe music theory instructional tape, and it says something like "Listen to this sound. When you find out what it is, you won't believe it." Or something. It starts out with really strong bass drums.

Help me!

I think you're looking for a song called The Breaks. It's starts off with:

Lean forward slightly, Look straight at the speaker and listen with a sparkle in your eye as though you might be thinking 'gee this is the most wonderful thing I've ever heard in all my life'

Make sure your sneaker laces, they get tied.

"Since huge quantities of information can be computer-digitalized and transmitted, music researchers could, for example, swap records over the Net with "essentially perfect fidelity."

For some reason, I always feel the need to follow those instructions. Except it's hard to will a sparkle into your eye. I just end up looking like I forgot how to wink.

Is it a remixed song? You're probally listening to a song titled Mr. Dibbs "Fight for Air" Mash-Up. "who can identify this sound, we are not going to taunt you by withholding the answer to the end of this record. but when you hear what it is you wont believe it, atleast not understand it." thats how it starts off then with a big bass boom it goes into strange times? I think its funny that you are listening to this song, I'd like to know more about it, and who remixed it. anyone? Its not an official black keys song though.

Yeah it sounds like Fight for air to me, the bonus track on Attack and Release. The bass drum he's talking about was probably Strange Times. I dunno if I'd say that it's not an official Black Keys song, I know Mr Dibbs created it but the narration is in a style that makes me think Dan and Pat probably contributed?
