Ok so you guys know the drill. WB/Nonesuch is lurking around here trying to TIGHTEN UP their game (read- sell as many copies as possible). Fair enough. So let's throw out some good ideas to help them (and us).
My idea? To bring some value to the pre-order situation... why not have 1,000 copies of the vinyl signed by Dan and Patrick? And they can either go to the first 1,000 preorders or just randomly given out to those that preorder. Some would get a signed copy, others would just get a regular copy. Of course this means Dan and Pat have to sign their name 1000 times each, and that sucks for them, but I guess making millions of dollars is hard work sometimes.
Alternatively, they could do some other kind of extra goodie giveaway instead of a signed copy of the album. Maybe something mini-van related? An air freshener for our cars (er, minivans). A key chain. Black Keys floormats. Black Keys fuzzy dice...
That's just a quick one off the top of my head. What say you guys? Any ideas?
