Anyone know if there is a reason that they end with this?? Just wondering because I know they always do?

They don't always end with that. They like to end with Til I Get My Way though. Maybe you leave too early? "When the power of Love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix Posted 1 year ago #

It's usually I Got Mine during the regular set, Till I get My Way if there's an encore. Which reminds me, does anyone know if TBK have ever headlined a gig and not played an encore? I think I Got Mine is just a really great song to end on, it has a good intro/outro, and there's the jam bit and crowd interaction. Till I Get My Way has a nice end vibe, I think they have better songs they could end with though. Ron Paul 2012 Posted 1 year ago #

I've seen the Key's 6 times now, and I believe they've ended with "Till I Get My Way" 5 times. Just a loud, pumpin, short show ender. No complant's, they end that shit with a bang!! Posted 1 year ago #

I like both songs as well, and I think I got them confused because they normally do end the show with Till I get my way and then play I got mine right before the encore. Usually pretty tipsy by then end of these shows ; ) Posted 1 year ago #

No big deal. I was just sayin' they don't ALWAYS end with it. And they never ended with it before A&R. Posted 1 year ago #

Truthfully, at the time, I liked seeing Dan and the Fast Five better than I liked seeing the Keys. Allow me to clarify... When I first started liking the Black Keys, those first 3 or 4 times I saw them were incredible. Top notch, best shows ever, hands down. But naturally once you've done something enough times it loses a little bit of its awesomeness. Nothing against the band, it's just how it is - kinda like "been there, done that". So by the time DA&TFF were touring, I had seen the Keys a bunch and it was really refreshing to see a different setup. And I have a hard-on for Hacienda so that made it even better. It was like my favorite guitarist/frontman playing with one of my favorite bands. And I really like how DA&TFF did some obscure cover songs and they had a real "jam" vibe goin'. Obviously not fair to compare DA&TFF to TBK because they are two very different animals. You can't have a 2 man jam band. But yeah, DA&TFF did an Animals cover that was fucking dyno-mite! It's called "Inside Looking Out" and they knocked it out of the fucking park at Lollapalooza. The crowd went nuts. The band went nuts. Dan was jumping around like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest - but this time the one legged man won! Haha. They did another cover "Oh Carol I'm So Sad" by Rockin' Horse. Oh and they did this unreleased Dan song called "Money & Trouble", and it's a great tune. Sidenote- the Greenhornes covered "Inside Looking Out" a long time before Dan did. They did it on their self-titled "Greenhornes" album but it's not nearly as good as when Dan does it. Posted 1 year ago #

Yeah it's a good tune. I wouldn't give The Grenhornes too much credit though, Grand Funk Railroad covered the song decades ago! Dan's version is my favorite though, followed by The Animals. Posted 1 year ago #
