There are a lot of talented musicians on this site.

I don't know if this has been done before but;
- we all write lyrics to a track
- we play around with our own guitars/bass/piano and tab that shit out
- we all learn the chords and arrangement that we collectively agree on
- then we play the fucker
- record a version on youtube and link it

Bros, this idea is cool as fuck and could literally bring the community together to create something of real value. It has to be a done as a group and honest criticism of the creative process is definitley encouraged. We'll firstly decide what kind of track we want to make ie Tempo/Content. Then propose lyrics. Then write rhythm. Then layer it with everything else.

Are you in? (Hokesy, TBKMagic I know you're on this..)

Just post a Yes and what kind of instrument(s) you play.

Yes. Guitar/Basic Piano.

Sizzurp, time is on our side, my friend. It's a community thing so we have to appreciate 'real life' obstacles and let's face it, we wanna smash this so no need to rush.

If we can gather at least 10 heads for inspiration we can crack a good tune out; of that I am certain.

Great start! Gather a few ideas and let's see what we come up with.

Yes. Guitar. And some lyrics I reckon.

Shall this be the point where we go towards the dark swampy blues that we all so badly wanted?

Ah man I'm going away for 3 days and I only have my acoustic! I want some fuzz! I'll think on this.

Lyrics in the way of "The Swamp Devil" I reckon Dark swampy blues.

I'm normally good with imitating accents but I'm struggling with an Aussie saying "Swampy Blues". Sounds cools as fuck in my accent, though. I like it.

Let's build together, ya cunt.

I'm a fantastic writer but when it comes to lyrics I lack confidence in my own structure.

Feel free to lambast me.

First line:

Light after night always falls on the dawn,
and with or without you I'm ready for the fall.

drums a little, only no way to record. lyrics maybe. so, the lyrics are like, supposed to be written by a bunch of people? I don't think it could work out well. maybe you should try to write it all yourself first, Lumberjackwhite?

Like I say, I lack confidence with lyrics. If we can agree on a topic then perhaps we can just snowball the lyrics.

Hey, Lumberjackwhite, I like your two lines! Keep it up! Maybe there should be some music first, a riff maybe, to get inspired?

I've fishing around with this riff:
e-----------------------------
B-----------------------------
G-----------------------------
D-----7---5/7----7-------7
A----7--7--------7-5----7
E--5------------5----8-5

Chorus:
A5 E5 G5
