Who is singing with Dan? Is it the Bass Player?

It's gonna be loud, are you ready? -Dan

When I saw them at KROQ, both the bass player and keyboard player were backing vocals... so probably

great recording, thx for sharing!

the beginning was great;HOWEVER-the heavy part dissappointed me. wonder what guitar he was playing.

Now baby when I roll, I roll deep;
so much soul, I couldn't get much sleep.

Wow, I'm surprised they did it. As expected, the live version is way better, just leaves me hoping even more that they part ways with Danger Mouse. Seriously though, that was pretty amazing. And I kind of like the heavy part live, just got to ignore that stupid Tom Petty song.

I think with time and practice this song can grow into something really special
I mean it sounded great here but you have to give them credit that it is their first time playing it live

Can totally see that growing into a big number live with the whole arena singing along eventually.

Cool clip thanks.

BUT again, also kinda sad. Seeing them in Arena mode with you positioned oh so far back, just highlights why i'll find it hard to bother catching these guys live again. Like i said in a previous post, i'm over putting my life on hold to get to gigs super early, to then push to the front, hold in my piss, to see them as they should be and battle a bunch of teenagers and bros in the meantime.

Whilst don't want to see them as little specs in an completely non intimate gig. IMO the Black Key's aren't a big arena rock band, and for me personally a small element / essence of them is lost. Good luck to em though, they deserve all the success available.

Haha, you're right. That was STRANGE...

I'm so happy I had the chance to se them, floor level, with my glass of booze 2 inches from Dans pedals with a crowd of maybe 300.

Sweet. I'm lookin forward to seeing this live at the Q. Wish they would bring along someone to play rythym on songs like this so Dan can concentrate on the lead parts. I believe it would sound much fuller. Do you happen to have a set list you could post? Curious as to what that is. Thanks for sharing.

What you said - ditto!(I added a little emphasis to set apart my over-all general agreement with post from my strong agreement with particular statements)

I've always liked this song. It sounds geat live. Thanks for posting it; it's one of the new songs I most wanted to preview if they played it live. Glad they did.

Its true eh?..such a weird feeling. Combo of: "Good on 'em" mixed "awwww damnit"

I really do look forward to seeing this song blow up live, with everyone singing along for the acoustic bit.
