Just ordered my copy. Supposed to be more rockin' than their last album. Can't wait to hear it...

SWEET! I noticed on their site that they had canceled a number of tour dates recently, that was odd to me. Especially with a new album being released. I hope it has the energy of their live shows with Dan, because that is the shit! I'll have to pick it up.

Just got mine in the mail yesterday and it's excellent!

Some thoughts from my trainride this morning whilst listening to the album...

1. Dan Auerbach is to Hacienda what Bob Dylan is to The Band. That's an extreme compliment to both Dan and Hacienda, fyi.

2. Hacienda should do a soundtrack for a movie. They make some supergroovy sounds that would really work well as a soundtrack to a film of some sort. Maybe an instrumental soundtrack for the most part (no offense intended). I think it would work well with some artsy indie film, maybe set in the desert mostly (Nevada, Texas, Arizona?), and with some cool scenes with no words, just some badass old car flying down a lonesome desert highway under spacious skies, and Hacienda throwin down the audio. I'm thinking a movie with lots of scenes with cool angles and colors, and not a lot of talking. Maybe similar to No Country For Old Men...

3. I would love to see what happens if you got the members of Calexico together with the members of Hacienda for a jam sesh.
