from an email I just received... (and many of you too probably)

Hey Everybody!

Just finished with SXSW and starting our tour with The Greenhornes tonight in St. Louis. We are really excited to be touring with these guys again, good rocknroll. Also we are in the middle of writing the new album which will be recorded in Nashville with Dan Auerbach in July. Great things to come, so check back soon in with our website haciendaonline.net for more news, and twitter.com/hacienda_tx for up to the minute goings on with the band on tour. Hope to see you soon!

Much Love

Excellent. Looks to be another exiting year musically with this news along with TBK, Radio Moscow and The Buffalo Killers all confirming recording new albums this summer. A TBK, Buffalo Killers, Radio Moscow,Jessica Lea Mayfield and Hacienda mini festival would be the SHIT!!! Thanks for the heads up mirbs.

Radio Moscow is so good live. Love Brain Cycles, got it on vinyl, can't wait to see what's next. Thanks for THAT heads up dusty.

That's great news! I was lucky enough to see Hacienda and The Greenhornes last night in St. Louis. It was a smaller venue so we got to meet many of the band members before and after the show. Both bands were stellar and I gotta say, Dante was the highlight of the night. Incredible musician and a hell of a nice guy. I got to talk to him afterwards about The Black Keys and the Keep it Hid tour. If you are near any of the tour stops, Hacienda live is a must see.

Thanks for the heads up. Especially for Radio Moscow! They are new to me. Very Sabbath. Sweet.

thumbs up there

I find them to be very Jimi Hendrix Experience too. In the best possible way.

Play it loud and play it proud. Heh. Brain Cycles, on the vinyl version, it says on the back "Best played HIGH" or something like that.

For those of you that have Facebook, Radio Moscow just started their official page within the last few months on there. They're actually in the process of recording right now I guess, and are planning on hopefully posting some behind the scenes footage when all is said and done.

Brain Cycles is an amazing album. One of my favorites of the last 10 years, TBK included. Just a straight up, bad ass, rock and roll album. Seems to always be in my rotation. The funny thing is at first my wife couldn't stand them, even when we saw them live. But recently she's been singing along when i have Brain Cycles or their first, self titled album, playing. And the other day she's like, "hey when are we gonna see these guys again". I knew i'd convert her.

My wife does the same thing. I'll play something and she's not really feelin' it. But then after she hears it a 2nd or 3rd time she'll be like "oh man these guys are good, i thought i didn't like them when you first played them for me..."

Saw Hacienda last night. Just wanted to say it was *sweeeet*... I met Dante and Rene, both genuinely nice guys. Can't say I was surprised, but pleased nonetheless! Looking forward to that new album later on in the year!

I'm seeing them tonight! Can't fucking WAIT. I'm cooped up in my cubicle right now, boo. And the Greenhornes! Oh and it's at a really small venue near my apartment called the Double Door, so I'm really looking forward to it. Fucking PUMPED. I plan to hit the merch tables too, HARD. Rene sold me a shirt last time I saw them, on Dante's birthday. Hopefully some of the other guys will be hanging around this time.

I've said it before, Hacienda really shines live. Their albums are great too, but they are one of the best fucking bands to see live. Ever. They did a great cover of Wooly Bully last time I saw them and they NAILED it. Can't wait to see what they've got in store for us this time.

even if it was only Hacienda I'd be psyched. But then after them, I get to see the Greenhornes too. Total rock OVERLOAD. I hope I don't need to be carried out. That has been known to happen to me at epic shows like these.
