I don't know whether it was Mirby or Brucini who posted this, but in December they said that TBK would be editing a magazine and have a huge feature article in Relix magazine. Well I got the Jan. 2012 issue of Relix and I scanned the related articles as usual. Enjoy. Sorry if it took a bit long, but I had to custom order this issue since I couldn't find it at any bookstore.

Here's the link to the magazine.

ps. I also highlighted the El Camino review on the last page.

To date: I've been a fan since early 2002 and I have attended 20 of their concerts and 2 of Dan's solo. I have also met Patrick quite a few times, but never Dan unfortunately. The Black Keys are a part of my soul.

First words in the review:

"All you need are three chords and abeat-at least, that's how the black keys have been making music since their humble garage beginnings."

REALLY?!

Thanks for the scans by the way!

Reading interviews from these guys lately has really highlighted perhaps the most important difference between Dan and Pat: self confidence. Dan has it, and he's able to be relaxed and humble as a result. Pat seems to be struggling with it and comes off as defensive and full of false bravado. At least that's the way I see it anyway, I could be totally off base.

Thanks for posting article. Damn! I've had to buy a lot of magazines lately. Thanks for posting scan mr. george.

Strange Times: Interesting insight. I think a lot of people will agree with your assessment of Dan's confidence vs. Pat's.
