Holy shit, I just listened to Next Girl about 8 times in my good headphones while I was walking around outside on my lunch (gorgeous day here in Minneapolis).........and holy shit! This thing is an absolute monster. I don't even think my mind can handle how good this is going to be on vinyl, pumping out of a set of big speakers. Have to....sit.....down. Breathe... Yeah, I'm also anxious to hear that shit bang through my turntable/hifi. I have a pretty simple inexpensive rig. A $90 powered sub and some decent left/right tower speakers will get you a lot of bang for your buck. And I'm not one these "bass guys" who has the subs in the trunk driving around rattling to and fro. I do appreciate nice clear deep bass sounds when used appropriately. Dan/TBK have been really bringing the bass tracks more and more, better and better through the past few albums. A&R had some, Keep It Hid really had some, Blakroc had some (even though I mostly don't dig that album, I can appreciate certain elements), and this is one is sure to bring the Thunder. I am more than certain i heard Nicole Wray (Blakroc) in there too. There is no doubt in my mind they will have someone on bass to play this song live. They have too! And possible backing vocals and rhythm guitar on others. Man, May 18th is too far off!
