Bring back a little Junior Kimbrough. Not really talking about a cover song. But just some of the influence! Best example I can give is The Flame. Something that totally sounds like TBK, but has traces of the emotion and trance-like groove that they at one time seemed to really be into, and do so well.

as artists they've just gotta do whatever makes sense to them at the time, do what they want to do and keep evolving. I just hope they go back to making music for the art and not because it might be fun to play live dan can be one of the best songwriters on the planet when he wants to be

No more mothafuckin' handclaps!

I don't care what type of music they are playing, as long as they sound like The Black Keys. And that is a tight drum/guitar sound, thats the band we all fell in love with.

It's gonna be loud, are you ready? -Dan

I don't think they will go back to their old sound but I sure wish they would.
In my opinion there's nothing wrong with handclaps.

I'll say it outright but nobody tomato me, m'kay?

*whispers: more blues... I mean bluseygrittydirtyrock... you know? That Black Keys thang? I know, I know - They're not a blues band!*

Hmmm... How about something that tweens run from and that radio refuses to play?

*Ducking tomatoes!*

Something a little more psychedelic would be interesting. And I know that base and keys will probably be a mainstay on future tours, but it would also be nice to see one new song that is played as a two piece.

I wish they would drop the keyboard for a few songs. It works great on some songs and should be there, but others I could do without. When I first heard lonely boy I thought, "Wow this sounds amazing!" then the keyboard came in and it went from a bad ass dirty rock tune to an upbeat pop tune. The bass can stay though. Just my opinion.

I'm thinking it's favorable that Dan will be coming off from recording Hanni. I wouldn't mind TBK picking up some of his rawness/psychobilly/minimalist sound.

All of the above

But Misa, has it on the money for me. That would be cool if he influenced the process a little *Edit* oh and maybe Dr Johns influence aswell?!.....
