I've found plenty of audio samples of the Micro POG but can't find any of on the Prescription Electronics COB. How are they similar/different? I think I read somewhere here that Dan uses the COB. Is this how he gets his octave sound (live) on Tighten Up?

Does anyone here have any experience with either/both?

I need to listen more carefully, but on the ACL performance of Tighten Up, I didn't hear Dan going for the octave sound in the breaks as heard on the album.

No one knows either of these pedals?

I have a full sized pog that is really cool. I don't know much about the cob but Prescription Electronics makes great pedals. Also, I know dan played with one during sxsw solo shows.

I really thought a lot of that live sound was from the organ playing either above or below but I haven't really listened to it with that in mind.

Thanks JM. BTW--I've been enjoying your covers.

Chris, that sucks! Have you contacted EH? Some companies like Voodoo Lab have excellent customer service. I have a really old 2nd or 3rd hand VL Analog Chorus that was crapped out and they fixed it for free no questions asked.

Got the Micro Pog. It's pretty cool. One octave up and / or one octave down. It tracks extremely well and you can pretty much get the Stripes Blue Orchid sound and the octave breaks on Tighen Up. It's an extreme pedal obviously and you aren't going to whip it out very often.

I never did get to hear or play with the COB...

I've been wanting a good octave pedal lately. The POG, POG2,and micro POG have been on my list, as well as the COB. Recently the Fox Rox Octron has come up on the radar. Maybe if I get a decent tax return, I will try and get into one.

I would love to get a Mu-Tron octave divider!
