Thanks Brucini, i've had a few listens through now, and it's still difficult to tell how i feel about it. The standouts so far for me are 'Gold on the Ceiling' 'Sister' and 'Stop Stop'. I was sceptical when i heard that DM was producing because i thought that the production (not the songs) on A&R was rubbish and that 'Tighten Up' was the most soul-less and controlled thing on Brothers, but it seems from these short snippets that TBK have had more room to breath and indulge on this album and also sounds like there having a whole lotta fun Posted 5 months ago #

They sound a lot different, but I'm digging it, and can't wait for December 6th to come. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of people who don't like this, that always happens when an artist changes their sound so much, but hopefully Dan and Pat won't let that affect them and they'll keep making music they want to make regardless of what other people think. I'm sure I'll dig it. Dan/Pat have great instincts and taste. I'll keep an open mind and enjoy the album. Dan's recent love for crunchy synth-like guitar tones is pretty interesting. The album is going to sound intense I'm sure. The sounds on Brothers are epic, whether you like the music or not - the recording quality and the textures and sounds are almost too good to be true. I'm sure El Camino will be the same, if not better (in that respect). Snippets are lame. And what's even more lame is the fact that they probably sound nowhere near as good as the album will once you get the cd/lp or 320kb mp3 files. Posted 5 months ago #

Little Black Submarines really sounds influenced by Stairway To Heaven, I heard some other tracks and though I didnt like them very much I did felt a little bit of a Rolling Stones (Some Girls) vibe on them. It's gonna be loud, are you ready? -Dan Posted 5 months ago #

Well I couldn't resist. I am trying not to judge it until I can listen to it properly. With that said, there are some things I heard that might turn me off personally. It is defintley more poppy sounding. Interestingly enough, I had 1 of the snips going and my co-worker asked "what U2 song is that, is it new?" Money maker sounds like a winner as does Sister.
