Stop, hammertime...

No no, sorry i got distracted, here is my question!!

Do you think we will ever see Wicked Messenger Live??

I understand why I may have missed it in the past due to lack of bass player at live shows etc. But now with the two blokey's doing their thaaaang i would love to see that song live. I would sell myself for that shit haha!

Or is there a legal issue with copyright's etc with it being a cover?

Discuss, you sexy little minxes!

That would be something to behold, most definitely, but I'd be surprised if they did that one live. I hope I'm there if they ever do, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Don't really know why, I just feel like that track might be like the Chulahoma stuff: awesome, but probably appreciated by a smaller subset of the fans.

One of my all-time tracks.
Being an amateur recording guy (what musician isn't these days..?) the sonic quality really makes my man parts tingle.
What I'd give to see an anthology of Keys recording techniques! (Mic's, preamps, amp/speaker combo's, etc.) I'm a huge fan of Pat's recording style. I'd love to jaw with him for a few hours and maybe learn me a little something...

I quite often love shiver at that song maself! Shame i think theres a lot of fans of it out there, and i think it would really fit in with some of the newer songs Live, maybe work some keys into there or summin. Damn shame!

I wonder if they ever even thought about it?
I don't think there could be a legal issue seeing as it was on the soundtrack so Dylan obviously gave them permission to record it.. and sometimes they do surprise us, I did not expect to see Chop and Change dominating setlists (although I'm glad it is cuz it made me appreciate the lil ditty).

That would most definitely cause a ripple effect of love shivers across the audience though.

If they played it, that would be crazy. There's probably a royalty issue for everytime they play it live or something.

Reading some of the setlists, i'm bummed they didn't play everywhere i go in l.a.

Ah man i've seen them play that 3 times now, outta the four times i've been. Each time i'm just there groovin like a love shiverin licker! its sweet. but hey you got the glitter ball dude haha

I'm seriously considering a petition asking the guys very very politely if they could play Wicked Messenger in Liverpool in Nov. Theres at least 6 of us who have all been to multiple TBK gigs, usually together, and i know for a fact if they busted out WM we would probably just uncontrollably jizz...in a respectable way of course! hmmm although i suppose thats not the best way to persuade the lads to play it :s

heres to hoping!

OK, I'll take one for the team and ask... HokesDorgan, how do you uncontrollably jizz in a respectable way? Don't those two things cancel each other out?

i think it would all be down to your posture, for example:

Rolling round howling and moaning as you unload on the poor girl or guy in front of you as Dan n Pat nail two bells out of Wicked Messenger is not a respectable way to do it, however...

Slowly nodding your head and maybe some polite clapping while your cockend oozes down your leg, saves everyone some embarassment and allows all to get on with the show. It's not pretty, and it's not cool. But it's about as respectable anyone will get when shooting their load... just try not to pull a sex shiver face!

hahahaha oh god wtf, i'm gonna have to put all that in italics before i get totally and utterly ear bashed n bollocked by the powers that be!

Fuck the powers that be (no offense Brucini, more the abstract "powers" I'm referring to), that has to be one of the greatest things ever written! I think that trumps the Infinite Monkey Theorem...

The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare.

You have a gift for words my friend. Crazy, British, made up words. And some English words.

Along a more TBK-centric track, Wicked Messenger would be really cool live. They started playing "Chop & Change" a few shows after I saw them on this tour, and I am a little bummed I didn't get to hear that one live. It has grown on me. I think my favorite non-album track that I've heard live would have to be "Here I Am I Always Am", that one's a beast live!

I have tears in my eyes right now, but I'm not sure if it's from laughing or crying.

(A benefit of being female is that it would be much easier for me to jizz respectfully if they played "Wicked Messenger" live.)

There's no telling how many times someone has respectfully jizzed due to TBK, but I'm assuming the numbers are higher than I originally expected.

Make sure your sneaker laces, they get tied.

April, you'll get used to that feeling. Just relax and let the emotions take you...
