A couple of weeks ago I've heard an interview with Dan where he was talking about, among other things, the differences between "now" and the early days of the band on the road.
I don't know if he was joking or not, because he sounded serious, but he said that now the road crew is composed by 25 people.
The band is composed by Pat, Dan + other players....they really need 21 persons to go on tour ?

A couple hours ago, I ran into this guy in an online forum, and he's a total big shot, but the crazy thing is, I heard he can't even get his dick hard unless his drum teacher does furious nonstop butt-naked drum rolls for him... I mean, come on, who can do fully naked nonstop drum rolls? No one, right? Drum rolls are the sexiest and hardest thing to do in the music biz. Mmmmmmmmm, druuuuum rolllllsssss...

lol Mirby.... go easy on him.

As for 25 people...I doubt that's true but it still isn't a lot. In fact with their popularity and how long they've come with all their gigs I'm surprised how it's not much more. Radiohead is at 102 last time I checked...Muse is at 140... take The Strokes...they started out with 7 now they're at 64.

To date: I've been a fan since early 2002 and I have attended 20 of their concerts and 2 of Dan's solo. I have also met Patrick quite a few times, but never Dan unfortunately. The Black Keys are a part of my soul.

I've heard it straight from Dan's mouth during a radio interview...

GET OFF MY NUTS

That's what he said.... teeee heeee

I googled "Black Keys Road Crew 25" and nothing came up. I then googled "Black Keys road crew radio" and nothing came up. Idk maybe you are right...but like I said it's not that many people. Maybe that's why they 'sold' the van...they're getting a BK bus.

IDK, Maybe with their entire staff. Tour manager, stage manager, drums, lights, guitar, bass, keys, sound, merch, bus drivers, truck drivers...etc. They aren't playing little clubs anymore. It's a production that takes a lot to put on every night. It actually doesn't seem impossible.

Stop bullshitting so much then bro. I'm friends with the "lighting guy" and have known him for years. They do not roll with a 25 man crew. So stop running your mouth like you fucking know something. If there's no link to go with your tall tale, then it's horseshit.

In fact, not too long ago Dan and his wife had the crew over for dinner. They made them dinner at their place in Akron. There were not 25 people there from what I heard.

But like Smokesignals said, I guess if he counts every single person that's somehow involved with the show (ticket taker, bathroom attendant, etc) then MAYBE but I still don't believe it.

Mirby, the internet tough guy! How much longer until you become disenchanted with the band and disappear again? That would be great. You're so INSIDE, BRO.

Luckiest fucking people in the world...

I wonder what they ate...

If they had gone with Pat then it would have been a shrimp fest at Red Lobster
