That looks so much better than the ads they are airing on tv.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone quality. It's so much more uncomfortable on tv.

I'll catch it on Hulu on Monday..I'm one of those dbags for whom SNL jumped the shark a long while ago.

Canadian Tuxedos are fun. I've never completed the look myself, always one piece short. Jim Carey is one of my favorite actors. ESOTSM proved that he could pull off a non-comedic role. SNL typically sucks but this show looks like it's going to be great.

Me, I'm skipping this show. I'm saving it up for the next one with Gwyneth Paltrow. I so want to hear her do Country Strong.

Nappy! The 3 minutes of the CMAs that I watched had Gweneth Paltrow doing that song. Sometimes I think a person could take a dump on stage and make some cowpatty chorus and mainstream country fans would think that it "speaks to them."

Thanks. Yeah it IS very uncomfortable. I hope Carrey doesn't have to try too hard but knowing SNL material...

so what'd y'all think of the show?
i would have liked to have heard a brothers song and then an older song, but makes sense that they played howlin' for you and tighten up.
the show wasn't that funny, as usual. jim carrey doing black swan tickled me a bit, but that was it.
they already have quite a few more fans now, like 15 comments on their official website are about seeing them on SNL and loving their sound.

Yeah as usual the comedy was absolutely terrible. I enjoyed it. I knew they were going to play those songs but I wish they did Everlasting Light and Next Girl if they were to only play Brothers tracks. I've kind of been sleepin on the Keys lately (due to listening to them non stop for a long time) but their performance got me hyped again and I can't wait to see the Black Keys on that Coachella line up poster that's supposed to come out soon

Also Dan kind of seemed a little frustrated right after they finished Tighten Up, it sounded alright to me. I still think the Letterman performance was better though.

the keyboards were WAY too loud in the mix, esp. on Howlin'.

The skits were awful, TBK was great. Dan seemed so damn happy to be there, smiling through much of Howlin'. Patrick was stylin'. So excited for them.

(I would have been profoundly surprised if they'd done any non-Brothers material. Most bands don't on SNL - it's a promo appearance, not a for-the-fans gig. I was just glad they didn't do Tighten Up first.)

yeah, dan was smiling in the part of the song that was "the actors don't have a clue/baby i'm howlin for you." i found it funny cause the actors really didn't have a clue.

As many know I have no use for the song "howlin for you" but I thought last night was their best performance of it (that I've seen/heard obviously). First time I've ever thought that the bass and keyboards didn't completely ruin the song.

On a more superficial note, I can't say I'm a fan of Dan's new "reverse mullet emo" haircut and lack of beard.
