I know - I know I know I know - that DQA and PJC are going to do what they feel is right for their music regardless of what anyone else says, and rightly so, but I was just thinking about a couple of my wishes for future TBK productions and was wondering what yours might be, too.

Fantasy Cover: "Use Me" by Bill Withers.

Fantasy Collaborator: Mick Collins (singer and guitarist out of Detroit, best know for the Dirtbombs and the Gories - his bandmate from the Dirtbombs, Troy Greggory, was a part of the backing band with Dan for Nathaniel Mayer's Why Don't You Give to Me?).

Ok, i'd like to draft Dan and Pat along with a conditional third round pick of Steve Winwood on vocals and keyboards, fourth rounder would be Mick Taylor on guitars. And if we could bring Johnny Almond (of John Mayall's the Turning Point album) back from the dead, he'd be on Flutes, sax, percussion and harmonica(though being dead he would have to be a late round pick). I think it would be great for them to do a sort of "Howlin Wolf London Sessions" here in the States and bring in these great talents and others of the 60's and 70's to cover some tunes.

Derek Trucks and DQA doing a slide guitar duel on any song. I think it would be amazing to watch, I think Dan would really be challenged to push his soloing ability to compete with DT.

I think I would have to go with "Wild Horses." I know its played out a bit but I was stuck the first time I heard it. Same with "Sweet Jane."
Yeah....not very creative but still, great songs!

This is sort of a weird combo, but I'd like to see TBK with John Legend.

Or

TBK with Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Just thought of another collaboration I think would be hot: TBK and Gil Scott-Heron.

This could just be because I'm a huge fan of both artists, but I'd love to hear TBK bring in Neko Case for some background and/or duet vocals.

I also think Dan and Pat could do some really cool stuff with the guys from the Avett Brothers.

Give me Booker T. Jones on organ, Duck Dunn on bass and Steve Cropper on rhythm guitar, plus the Keys, playing a Link Wray tune.

Hey, or what about "Mama Roux" by Dr. John. Or "Clap Hands" by Tom Waits.

Wham bam, thank you m'am.
