Continue on with your totally square minded idea of focusing on one band in an entire forum. One would wonder why only two or three people are on here at a time,,,,hell ya kinda run out of things to talk about concerning the black keys at some point (you actually probably don't) but oh well. Keep the good work up there forum nazi
I'm out
I think you use the word Nazi a little loosely
I didn't delete your post - everyone can still read it. Sorry for not sending you a PM to tell you where it had been moved to. Yeah, that would have been more courteous.
I don't stop people noting other bands they are into, what music is exciting to them, what they are listening to while they are on the forum. All that is being asked is that posted it in one thread.
Or, there's also a thread for band's that people have found because of TBK.
Just look at the 'sticky' posts under General Discussion for those threads.
If, however, you wish to discuss a band or other music or anything in a way that has a relationship to TBK, and you are mentioning that linkage when you start the topic, there's no issue. Just call out how it's vaguely related to TBK.
You'll note there's a heap of guitar, equipment discussion, amongst other posts and you might say 'then why don't you delete that?'. I would reply that it is in the vaguely related category (often implied over time) because it is popularised, referenced and/or used by TBK. Yeah, it's a grey zone but clearly I'm not as hardcore as you make out.
If you want to discuss random stuff, that isn't vaguely related to TBK, then hang out at Yahoo Answers or a creative writing forum. But for sure come on back when you do want to discuss all things related to TBK.
If people want to dilute the forum focus away from TBK to such a degree that it's so chopped down and you have to wade through so much cutting agent before you get a few micrograms of good shit, then I'm not sure that's good for any of the forum members or the forum generally. Furthermore, I'd suggest even less forum members or lurkers will turn up day in day out asking for a taste of that or even to see if there's anything worth tasting.
Once again I'm not deleting posts, just moving them.
That stuff that has been deleted, for the record, is either spam, particularly offensive material or comments (normally I would edit the actual post in any case), or there are download links to content that potentially cause the site to be issued with a Take Down Notice. I've deleted like max 10 posts in almost a year.
That said, I hope you take two deep breaths and stick around
