One would wonder why only two or three people are on here at a time,,,,hell ya kinda run out of things to talk about concerning the black keys at some point (you actually probably don't) but oh well. Keep the good work up there forum nazi

Disclaimer: Mirby does not actually want anyone banned. He just thought it would be a good time to use that emoticon. Holy shit I just used the word emoticon in a sentence.

D'aw Brucini's not a Nazi, he's a master organizer. It's about keeping it legible and navigable so if someone wants to swing by and see what other Keys fans are listening to, they don't have to sort through 26 threads with variants of the same title. Don't be a negative Nancy.

I think you use the word Nazi a little loosely

I didn't delete your post - everyone can still read it. Sorry for not sending you a PM to tell you where it had been moved to. Yeah, that would have been more courteous.

I don't stop people noting other bands they are into, what music is exciting to them, what they are listening to while they are on the forum. All that is being asked is that posted it in one thread.

Or, there's also a thread for band's that people have found because of TBK.

Just look at the 'sticky' posts under General Discussion for those threads.

If, however, you wish to discuss a band or other music or anything in a way that has a relationship to TBK, and you are mentioning that linkage when you start the topic, there's no issue. Just call out how it's vaguely related to TBK.

You'll note there's a heap of guitar, equipment discussion, amongst other posts and you might say 'then why don't you delete that?'. I would reply that it is in the vaguely related category (often implied over time) because it is popularised, referenced and/or used by TBK. Yeah, it's a grey zone but clearly I'm not as hardcore as you make out.

If you want to discuss random stuff, that isn't vaguely related to TBK, then hang out at Yahoo Answers or a creative writing forum. But for sure come on back when you do want to discuss all things related to TBK.

If people want to dilute the forum focus away from TBK to such a degree that it's so chopped down and you have to wade through so much cutting agent before you get a few micrograms of good shit, then I'm not sure that's good for any of the forum members or the forum generally. Furthermore, I'd suggest even less forum members or lurkers will turn up day in day out asking for a taste of that or even to see if there's anything worth tasting.

Once again I'm not deleting posts, just moving them.

That stuff that has been deleted, for the record, is either spam, particularly offensive material or comments (normally I would edit the actual post in any case), or there are download links to content that potentially cause the site to be issued with a Take Down Notice. I've deleted like max 10 posts in almost a year.

That said, I hope you take two deep breaths and stick around

With all due respect my friend, I appreciate your reply and I also want to apologize for the unneccesary nazi comment. My only gripe would be the comment you made that is bolded...which states that I posted something NOT related to the black keys which is not true. I posted an album cover "Never underestimate your hallucinations" which the keys play a track on and is a very good album....and merely just wanted to get it out there for people to check out if they had the means to do so. I'm not planning on going anywhere (that is unless Mr.Mirby would rather me be banned, which is fine as well). I guess other band forums that I have been a member of for many years are ran quite differantly then this one and at this point all I have left to do is respect that and move on. I guess the other reason for my piss poor rant was because the last post I made here you moved also:(stating a thank you to some good people here for turning me onto some really good music), Nevertheless I will keep your way of doing things here in mind and try to put things where they belong from now on.

Again I apologize to you for my distasteful remark,
EW

once again the post was moved to where it would be better categorised. my point is only that you should post it in that thread to start with

I'm well aware of the compilation you referred to. i wasn't moving it because i thought it was unrelated to tbk.

the thread topic you chose, spoke not of this particular compilation but to find out what everyone was listening to. i'm suggesting this thread already exists.

if you had posted that album cover and then started a discussion about this compilation, noted how related to tbk it was, and named it accordingly. then obviously no problem. people do that all the time

I also didn't 'move' the other topic you started, I closed it and explained why.
see it here and the reasons:

The guy keeps saying he's outta here and he's moving on but he keeps hanging around and bitching? Weird.

Not that anyone has to leave, everyone is welcome, but just sayin'... why the threats?

Oh and before anyone jumps to conclusions... I wasn't going to say anything more after my little joke there, but this guy PM'd me and was all fired up -

I used to think you were one of the decent people here...But to be honest, I could give a shit if you want me banned or not --> But thanks

Most around here that know me know that I don't support censorship or banning things. I even put a disclaimer on my post (see earlier posts above). I just wanted to use that little "ban" icon because I rarely get a chance. It was a joke. Guy can't take a joke apparently.

Actually I like the guy's passion. Reminds me of a younger me. But still, you gotta obey the rules of Brucini's house. It's that simple. Brucini is a fair guy. He is in charge of housekeeping and he does a damn fine job.

In short, Douchewrangler, if you wanna stay - stay and stop your whining. If you wanna leave, GO and shut the fuck up already. It really makes no difference to us. Don't make a big deal out of this. It's simple - you're new and you didn't know that there was a thread devoted to other bands. No big deal. Now you know. Why don't you just drop it?
