I just got this month's issue in the mail and they've got an article on them and an interview with Dan. Haven't had a chance to read it yet

No actually it was really good. Learned some new things, it wasn't one of those ones where they just repeat everything that we already know Dan said he has 4 or 5 of those Supros. I thought that was crazy. And the Jerry Donahue tele got warped, that's one reason why he doesn't use it anymore There was a bunch of other cool stuff but I don't feel like typing out an essay right now. Not that Guitar World isn't as you describe. In the issue before that, Andy Aledort brought up the black keys in one of the guitar lesson features. He described them as contemporary pop, and lumped them with John Mayer. Posted 1 year ago #

So both the tele and lawsuit sg have been killed by warping. I hope his beautiful harmony's don't suffer the same fate. Posted 1 year ago #

I'd love to read the article. Any chance I might find it somewhere online? Posted 1 year ago #

I've been wondering what happened to the Jerry Donahue Tele so I'd say that alone makes it a good article! Posted 1 year ago #

Yeah, I remember Dan mentioning something about how bad putting guitars in the baggage of airplanes, cause the temperatures are so extreme. I've also read that those ibanez sg's are notorious for warping easily. Posted 1 year ago #

Damn, I was wondering about those 2 gits. Looks like he's moved on (to Harmony / Supro) as he could have found another Tele or SG if he wanted. . It's just goes to show that with all great guitarist with a signature style, you can put anything in their hands and it's going to sound like them. Snackshop Billy..... Forty Fries..... I went and paid $8 for this magazine on my lunch break just so I could read the article/interview haha. 1. I've always wondered about the "Produced by Patrick Carney" on the first couple albums. Good to hear the story about that. 2. I'll be building a Zvex Octane clone ASAP, haha "When the power of Love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix Posted 1 year ago #

I don't know brother. It should hit your stores any day now. Just keep looking. It's only a page or two about TBK. Not worth $8. But to obsessive fans like us, worth every penny. Posted 1 year ago #

I have a Zvex Octane, which is great for really unnatural octave-up and octave-down fuzz. That's what you hear on a song like "Thickfreakness." -Dan Posted 1 year ago #

So that's the fuzz he used on thickfreakness. Go figure, none of the guitarplayers here ever mentioned that pedal. We all guessed wrong. Posted 1 year ago #
