Yeah, I read it, they're talkin more about running a marathon or some shit, than the show. I was just curious as to the type of venue, thats all, I'm more of a proponent of the smaller type of venues, but I guess on NYE you cant be to picky, anything goes!! thanks for your help tho....

I don't know man. I think there might be too many off-topic conversations in that thread for their taste.

Make sure your sneaker laces, they get tied.

The Aragon is a decent venue. It's your typical shitty Chicago-land venue. I think it holds about 4,000 people, built in the 20's. It does have a cool ceiling, lots of twinkling lights like stars, overall sound is decent, just a large open floor area, and also has an upstairs, but unless you get on the railing, it's hard to see anything upstairs, standing room only. That's the only shitty thing, no seating, expect to be on your feet the whole time, but your seeing the Keys, no sitting aloud, just rocking out. I'm super pumped, as well as you should be too.

thank jeebz. I hate venues where you have to have a seat. It nearly killed the time I saw Wilco, because I felt like I had to be glued to where my seat was and the rows were tight so it was uncomfortable to stand, and every d-bag infront of me was standing.

BTW when I saw TBK in August it was in an outdoor venue, about 100 degrees with the heat index at 9 PM, tons of people around and standing on bumpy ground in hard soled flip flops...at the end of the night, I was drenched in sweat but I wasn't sore, hot, or tired. So when I see them on NYD, it will be as polar opposite as you could probably get weather wise (we'll be indoors...who cares?), but hopefully the same results. I'm especially stoked to see the Greenhornes! May be the best. show. ever.

seated venues suck, and people who stand at them are assholes.
