I don't find either one particularly cool. But both are better than the Live at Emo's in Austin, TX footage from 2003 where Dan says "aahh yeah-yeah-yeah" 43 times. Hehe. But I bet he was nervous. That was early in their career. Before it even WAS a career. I love Dan's story about the 1st time he played live in front of an audience. He said- “The first time I ever played in front of a crowd was on a Tuesday night at the Northside Lounge in Akron. This is about three years ago. I had been taking guitar lessons from this guy and he was playing there. He knew I knew a bunch of old songs so he invited me to come up and play. I got on stage and my ears shut off, I was sweating like crazy, I was completely terrified. It took me ten minutes to tune up.” He laughs. Confession- I have horrible stage fright. Never played any live shows. No way. No how. Not happening. "When the power of Love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix Posted 2 years ago #

Dan has improved his stage presence perceptibly since the early shows. I love when Dan yells "Yeeeeaaaah" at least on the albums... Posted 2 years ago #

He just loses himself in the music and forgets about the audience for the most part.Atleast, that's my impression. He does not put up any kind of show but has a very natural presence on stage. Posted 2 years ago #

I like those background "yeah"s on the older records, while their laying down a really tasty bluesy rockin' jam, and the "yeah" is barely audible, tucked away in the mix. Almost like someone in the "crowd" is cheering them on. Cept there is no crowd because those are studio albums. I like those better than the reggae style Yeah's and No's on Brothers. Makes sense Mirby, since I have only heard 2 songs on Brothers (and only 1 each) I cannot comment about the new style of Yeah's or No's... Posted 2 years ago #

I'm still not sure it's a serious thread. Just not much else going on in the forum right now. Posted 2 years ago #
