Glad I could help spread the word! Check this out if you haven't already: Alabama Shakes on KCRW.
This too: Live Vinyl Release on Third Man.

Thank you! You rock! Huge happy this morning.

Huzzah and Hurray! I am relieved to hear (read) this. I feel so lonely on here sometimes... *dabs eyes*....

Dusty: happy to contribute. Hey, I think my initial reaction was your exact words, "Fuck Yeah!"

I think I need a towel here!

I love it! Between your recommendations and JillyRose's recommendations; I'm having a major musical happy this past year! Thanks for posting this.

Phew... 27 pages. I'm'na have to go back and check everything out. It all sounds so amazing.

I must concur with Charles Bradley, Menahan Street Band and Lee Fields, to which I'll add El Michels Affair, Budos Band, and Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings (members of the preceding three groups make up Menahan).

I've been on a neo-soul-and-funk kick recently; I've just been simmering in these groups' music and am looking forward to finding more music like it.

There is a local group that I'd like to plug by the name of the Old Tire Swingers. They're currently touring the southern portion of the US after a brief stint in the UK. Neat little bluegrass group.
