That is a classy little rig. I had a Fender Tele a couple years ago. It had a humbucker size cavity at the neck pos so I put a humbucker-sized P90 in it (GFS Dream-90, white pearl). Then I put a Dimarzio Fast Track T bridge pup. Got an Allparts maple V neck, straplocks, new tuners, had a bone nut installed, shielded the electronics and replaced pots/jack/switch with quality parts. Treble bleed mod too. It was a badass guitar. Sold it to one of the old forum members actually. Anyways, I have a similar rig in my bedroom. Epi reissue '56 Les Paul gold top with p90's (fralin p90 bridge, stock neck) into a Vox Pathfinder 15r. I can't play loud so I don't bother with tube amps anymore. @tbkmagic, yeah it's pretty much the best simplistic amp on the market. Cleans are very dynamic and three dimensional, overdrive sings, and the tele just works with it. @stingybrim, thanks! I remember reading your posts about your mods on that guitar too lol. I did pretty much the same thing with my epi les paul. it now has a mean 90 in the neck, gfs roller bridge, upgraded jack and switch, and a duncan '59 in the bridge (very underrated bridge humbucker imo). It needs some new electronics though, the last guy in there butchered it all, :/ It sounds great though and I would totally use it live. The tele is the best guitar I've ever owned though, period. I've only owned about 4 pr 5 before it but it's by far the best. Not just in bang for the buck but seriously the best no matter what the price. I could keep everything on it stock and be extremely satisfied but just to push it beyond my satisfaction I wanna add a bigsby and complete it.
