A friend of mine told me about this site, and I thought it was awesome. I like the vibe of the forum especially. Lots of gear related posts which I started looking into. very cool community of Black Keys fans. I play in Hacienda and we might be the biggest black keys fans around. Well at least we might be on the level of you guys on this forum. Keep it up dudes. Cheers to Dan and Pat on their new record.

I started a gear blog, if anyone out there is into playing guitar, you can check it out here

Holy shit! Dante! It's a pleasure to have you here good sir! I'm a big fan of your work.

Love that Wooly Bully cover video that's floating around on the web. And Big Red & Barbacoa is fantastic. Got it on BIG RED vinyl.

Anyhow, I'm sure everyone will be stoked you stopped by. Don't be a stranger. I'll see you next month in Chicago with Joe Lewis & the Honeybears. Wish you guys were headlining but hey, what can ya do.

Hey Dante, I was just peepin' your blog. Great stuff. I'll be checking in there regularly.

We've noticed that Dan is using that Danelectro Reel Echo lately and I see it's on your board as well. What do you like about that pedal? I've never tried one, but always wanted to. Also, what is that purple pedal on your board (the one missing a knob)?

Analogman makes great stuff. I used to have one of his AR20DL analog delays. That NKT275 sunface with the sundial is NICE! Never tried one, but only heard great things.

Thanks.

Dante! Cool! Both of your records are waiting at the record shop for me to pick 'em up!

Ha. Somehow I would've thought you guys wouldn't focus that much on gear. No idea why I thought so. So, anyway - you played with Booker T.?

Wham bam, thank you m'am.

Potato Hole rocks. As does the new Hacienda record (though I think like the first one more)

The last picture on the blog is a great one. Its in the control room at Dan's studio and you can see the Mellotron and Farfisa that played a big part on Brothers!

Lets see. I'm gonna try and answer all of these. The mystery pedal is one of those Earthquaker devices. Its a tremolo. I'm not sure what the name is. the label started peeling so I got rid of it. If you roll all the depth and speed off, and use the level pot, it gives you a big clean boost. I used it mainly as a boost pedal. It gets loud as shit. I dig that. I didnt play on Potato HOle, thats the drive by truckers dudes. But we did run into each other at a gig here and there and they're really nice. we did a festival in Austrailia with them, and our organ player got to use Booker T's hammond B3 for the Dan Auerbach set.
