One year has passed since The Black Keys un-ceremoniously removed the fan forum attached to their website. Time indeed flies when you are busy reading and posting on a fan forum about The Black Keys.

A new fan forum dedicated to The Black Keys was, of course, created as part of The Black Keys Fan Lounge the day after The Black Keys removed their forum.

The Black Keys Fan Lounge took up the challenge to offer fans a new place to gather. And gather they have. Even though The Black Keys later re-started a forum on their official site many months later, fans seem to have valued a different perspective and place to hang out, a place where there’s a focussed momentum of activity.

Many lessons have been learned over the year, mistakes have been made, the quality of the conversations have improved and descended and redeemed themselves – it’s all part of being a fan to agree and disagree and share.

A special thanks to all those fans who have registered and contributed (and continue to do so) to make the forum the informed, opinionated, and dynamic place it is. It’s your place. It wouldn’t be what it is without you; it lives or dies with or without your involvement. Respect.

So, if you are not already registered or haven’t posted for a while, be part of the community – have your say and contribute today.

Can someone start a campaign to get the Black Keys website administrators to set up an RSS feed on their main site? Kind of annoying me now having to wait for someone to post news on the Black Keys Forum of what they’ve seen on the main Black Keys website just so I can keep with what’s happening with the band. They have an RSS feed of the Forum but you have to keep checking back to the main site all the time for the latest News or Tour Dates. Well, I guess I just have started a campaign if someone else agrees with my views…

After some good work on the Black Keys forum, Distracted, has advised the RSS feed address is: http://theblackkeys.com/feed/

You can just paste this into your Feed Reader and subscribe. The RSS symbol hopefully will be re-added to the Black Keys site
